On the fourth of July we had a GREAT family day! We got up that morning and ate breakfast, went to daddy's deer lease to check feeders & cameras, ate lunch, took a nap, played outside on the clubhouse and the watermat!!!!

We went to Nana & Pop's house on Saturday June 19th to celebrate Father's Day & Aunt Jenn's birthday! We had lunch and played out in the shop most of the day! Fun times had by all!

Mayborn Museum

We had a special day with Grammy, Ashton, Landry, Parker & Mommy going to the Mayborn Museum on Baylor's campus. It was the first weekend for the new Lego exhibit. After the museum we went and had lunch at McDonald's before going home for a nap! We had a great time and really enjoyed the museum. This was Parker's second trip, Ashton's second trip and Landry's first trip to the museum! They even had inflatables outside to jump in and a cupcake walk!!!!

We went to visit the Bryce family on Good Friday! Parker decided that he did not want to help Mommy color our Easter Eggs, so this picture was my best opportunity for an Easter picture. When Parker hunted easter eggs, he was so interested in what was in the eggs and not the quantity that he hunted!!!

HELLO! HAPPY 62nd BIRTHDAY Grampy! We spent the day with Grampy on his birthday and visited Grammy in San Antonio! We went to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) kickoff luncheon at the convention to watch Grammy receive her 25 year service award! It was so neat that Grammy's boss is the president of CoSIDA this year and presented her award to her! Grammy went to her 1st CoSIDA convention in 1983 in San Diego, California! We are so proud of you & love you LOTS!!

we went to a graduation party for stephanie(ricci's cousin0. she graduated from texas a&m with a chemical engineer degree! we are so proud of her & hope she finds a job soon! the party was in china spring and we had a great time. actually, parker had the most fun! we spent most of our time chasing him!

My "Boo Boo"

Lately, "Boo Boo" has meant several things in our household. First of all, Ricci calls Canton "Boo Boo" and of course Parker has also started calling Canton that.
Yesterday, Parker was running across our driveway and fell. He skinned his knee, didn't cry and was bleeding. His daddy was so impressed that none of it seemed to bother him. He said "That's my boy". Parker got up quickly and started running again. Ricci picked him up to check out his knee and could barely get a quick look in before he was kicking to get down!! Our first "Boo Boo" to require a band-aid!

I haven't been to the zoo in forever! I decided since the daycare was closed on Good Friday and I had to take the day off, that we would go to the zoo. Ricci also decided to take the day off and go with us, what a treat!! It was fun & Parker really enjoyed it!

parker has become very independent this week and loves to do things by himself. tonight he sat in his chair and read us a book and has learned how to push his trucks around, while running. my favorite thing that he started this week is the "vroom", "voom" noises that he makes when playing with his trucks and trains! SO CUTE!! MY baby is becoming a BIG boy! :-(

hello everyone! i am trying to be become a better blogger! i know that in recent months i have been BAD! no excuses! i am starting to post on a weekly basis from now on! tonight we had fajitas for dinner and parker had a bean and cheese burrito. he was extra messy tonight so we thought we would share it with you. ricci says it looks like parker has freckles!!

this week parker has started calling me mama and sometimes it's MMAAMMAA! last week i was talking to ninny on the phone and parker was screaming "MAMA" because he wanted to show me where he through his binky so i could give it to him!

Parker got his lower 1st molars this week! IT has been TERRIBLE around our house. Also, Ricci has been out of town working all week & Parker and I have the congestion junk that's going around. YUCK! we had an exciting christmas this year with a 1 year old to spoil! it was nice to see him get to play with new toys & he did get a LOT of new toys. i put up several toys that are either outside toys or something new to save for the SUMMER! i feel bad that his birthday is 6 days before christmas! i mean it isn't his fault we were on fertility drugs and it happened when it did. anyway, here are some pics, ENJOY!!

well our big boy turned 1 on december 19th and we celebrated his birthday with a party on saturday, december 20th! we decided to have a small family party at our house with lunch & cake! we enjoyed the party and everyone had a great time! parker wasn't much help with opening the presents, but that was to be expected! here are some pics of the party!

we went to the BOO bash at our waco M&M Mars chocolate factory! IT was AWESOME!! parker is too young to eat the candy so lucky mama & daddy! it only took 15 minutes to walk through the area for trick or treating and we had tons of normal size candy bars. they gave out starburst, skittles, milky way, 3 musketeers, snickers, m&m's, twix and gum!! YUMMY we're going to have a tummy ache! a friend of parker's from daycare invited us. his name is hayden. hayden's dad went to lorena & his mom works at the same hospital as i do! it was so nice of them to invite us & we had a great time!

well, i have made 2 trips to the lorena pumpkin patch! the first time i went by myself and took the pictures with the boots, wrangler jeans & red long sleeve shirt. the second trip i decided to take brodie so i could have someone trying to get parker to look towards the camera. parker loves kids and i could not get him to cooperate and look at me. i think these are the best i'm going to get this year! i bought the little pumpkin in the pics with the long sleeve shirt and he likes to chew on it & carry it around the living room! ENJOY!!

Well, Parker is crawling all over the house. He is into EVERYTHING! We have had to childproof our house. We have cabinet hooks, baby gates and outlet plug covers. He has started pulling up on his jumperoo, the fireplace, coffee table and the couch. We are BUSY these days! I'M SORRY I haven't had time to post new blogs. I know the same OLD excuse about being busy! But, I promise that between work & home I really am busy! Ricci and his dad tiled our kitchen, dining room and laundry room last weekend and IT LOOKS GREAT! We should be getting our granite coutertops in our master bathroom, parker's bathroom & the kitchen next month! We have been updating our house for 2 years since we bought it and are almost done!!

Parker has 2 bottom teeth that came in this month. the first one was the bottom right on the 9th and the left one broke through his gum on the 23rd! he has been sitting up and newest trick is rocking back & forth on all four limbs!

well, we hope everyone had a wonderful father's day! we visited nana, pop, aunt jenn & uncle justin (ricci's family) on saturday & sunday. we left there house and went to grammy & grampy's house for sunday dinner. we got home at 6 pm and ricci went outside to mow our yard. he went to his deer lease on saturday before going to his parents house. i was on call friday night, so he had parker duty and didn't have a chance to work in our yard. he is having to mow our yard every 4 days because our st. augustine is so thick! i felt really bad that he was so BUSY on his 1st father's day! i wish he could have relaxed and not worked so hard!

we were working in the yard all morning and this afternoon i got parker in the pool for the 2nd time. he still likes it, but today i didn't let the sun warm up the water before i put him in. he noticed and i had to take a picture. i can't wait for him to start talking and telling us what he is really thinking! after being in the pool for 20 minutes, i fed him and he took a well deserved nap. here are a few pics of our saturday!!!

Ricci and I were chosen to be my godparents for Lilly (the daughter of a good friend of mine). Laura and I have been friends for 13 yrs and I'm glad that we keep in touch. Lilly was baptized last Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco, TX. We decided not to take Parker to the baptism, but picked him for the lunch at Lilly's grandparents house. Parker is 8 days older than Lilly and they had fun! They are both teething and so Parker wouldn't hardly take his fingers out of his mouth!

4 month UPDATE

We went to the doctor today because Parker had a temp of 102.1. He weighed 15lbs 12 oz and was 26" long. The doctor thinks it is a combination of teething and drainage in his right ear. We are going to wait to see if his fever goes away, before he prescribes any antibiotics. Parker just finished a ten day regimen of Amoxicillin last Monday for his first ear infection. Wish us luck!

Parker is learning how to eat. He only eats some cereal and some 1st foods (fruits & veggies), but seems to be getting the hang of it. He is NOT a fan of peas! Watching him eat peas for the first time was our Sunday family dinner entertainment and his face was hilarious!!

hey everyone!! parker started turning over a week ago! he was playing with his activity gym and all of a sudden turned over on his left side! ricci and i saw it at the same time and it was so cool!! parker sure is becoming the "chatter box" like his mama, but still looks like his daddy!! we are looking forward to the summer because parker loves being outside just like his parents! we will have many dinners out back on our porch!! hope all is well with you and your family!

Parker received the Holy Sacrament of Baptism yesterday! It was a beautiful & memorable ceremony! Father Isidore is so personable and adores children! He even had Ashton laughing when she assisted him. He told her to grab Parker by his hair if he took off running when he poured the holy water over his head! It was hilarious! Parker's godparents are Kevin & Cathy Groppe (Ricci's aunt & uncle). We are so glad that most of our family could attend, it meant alot to us to share this special time in our son's life with those we love!

CARPET MUNCHER!!!!

we have a carpet muncher living in our house and we were unaware of it. "CANTON" ate up a small round circle of our carpet, in front of our recliner in the living room! The day before Parker had thrown up there and i cleaned it up. The next day Ricci and I were in the dining room with Parker and Ricci caught him doing it. His teeth were bleeding and he had carpet hanging from his chin hair. WE WERE PISSED! So he got in trouble and so far we haven't found any other places of missing carpet.

well, i started this blog and haven't had much time to get online since i started back to work. i survived my first full week and my first call night. i was oncall this past tuesday night. i went to bed at 11pm and was beeped out at 1am. i worked until 8:30am then took parker to the doctor. he has the pukes this week, but seems to be feeling better!
